CANCER CARE

AGINALDO

Maligayang Pasko at Manigong Bagong Taon!

LIFE IS A JOURNEY

Life is a continuous journey the time you was born till the time you'll back to your creator.
The time you stop your journey, you won't grow anymore and life start to vanish.
Life is  so massive that you can't explain all the meanings and symbols that you see, that is the mystery.
You can feel but you can't see, you don't know how started with just a glimpse and voila life exist.
In every journey there are beautiful sight you will discover and on that way to your final destination you will encounter strangers and on the middle of your journey their are turbulence like storm, that may hinder you to go on with your journey.

The Sky Above

Little dreamer turn to a tough dreamer.
Since I was young I was trained to rise after I failed,
and it nurtures me to rise above mediocrity :)
but every time I forgot that I'm still human being,
My soul separate from my mortal body.
Yes I am a living zombie physically alive but life didn't exist at all.

As I grow in wisdom I learn to appreciate what real life is,
I learn to be patient with myself, and to those people around me even  to the most difficult person I've encounter.
And thanks God the moment I look at the good side of everything this difficult people and situation turn to be my greatest motivator.

When things seems shallow, I throw my self on green pasture and look above the sky.
What a refreshing sight to fonder!
The sky is clear without blemish, what more when I was totally there? :)
But today as I live a full life on earth I need to cherish every blessings together with my family and friends.
So help me God.

Dream high!
Live simple.
Share your blessings.
and this world will be a wonderful world to be. :)

ARISE PHILIPPINES

Bangon Pilipinas!
There are many smart and intelligent people, but please we need to remember that aside from intellectual aspect we have also moral aspect that some leaders of today forgot. There is still time to change for the better. Let's empower the youth not just based on intellect, but nurture their moral aspect. yes we can, start from your home, parents be a great model to your children not just on words but through your actions. Teachers and mentors please motivate them to be a great person in words and in deeds. And to our leaders of today do you want to take the lead? Then start to become a good example not just for fame and riches but with integrity that you are one of the few great leader that will start the fire of great change.

We are not just an ordinary citizen living on this island  but we are one community with common goal and that is to have a great victorious and peaceful nation!

Yes we can! , instead of pulling each others down let us help each other to achieve significant goal that is good not only for your own sake but for the benefit of all mankind.
Always remember all things will passed but the goodwill that you made will leave big impact to the lives of your fellowmen, and will pass even to the next generation.

Yes you are mortal being because you have physical body that will end but also remember you are immortal being with a soul that will live forever. You are infinite being, so if you want to be contagious make sure it is  the good one and not the other way around.

With love and prayer,
I salute you!
Mabuhay Philippines!
Mabuhay Filipinos!
I love Philippines!

PAGBABAGO?

Gusto mong sumigaw?
Huwag natin itong ipagkait.

Sang: One More Try

Mr. Martin Nievera- The Concert King
Sang "Ikaw and Aking Pangarap"
Mr. Gary Valenciano- Mr Pure Energy
Sang "Kung Mawawala Ka"

25 I Write the Songs Mr. Ogie Alcasid with Daniel Padilla

Ms Kuh Ledesma- Pop Diva
Sang "Tayong Dalawa"
Naabutan kung kumanta si Ms Pops Fernadez with her dazzling black silver dress and yes she is the "Concert Queen". Pero ang nakapagpasigaw sa lahat ay ng lumabas sa entablado sina Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez aka Vincent & Erik at my Husband's Lover talaga naman with holding hands on the crowd they are indeed a great actor and performer.
Anne Curtis is also one of the guest like what Ogie Alcasid said in his introduction, concert will not be a success without her because all singers are focus on their songs and performance but Anne simply enjoy it no matter what tone of voice she has what matter is she make it, so casual yet entertaining she's so funny with those Kikay gestures.
I love the package, the guest, the set design and the theme of the concert. Aside from the big stars what I like most is when Ogie always told to his guest to make a bow after their master piece and it's a sign of humility that no matter how good they are their talent is came from above. And that's the message of 25 I  Write The Songs because God is the writer of all songs. All aspect is in the concert. Its entertaining yet there are valuable things to cherish. I like that part when Ogie called his parents on stage and honor them that without his parents there is no Ogie Alcasid on this world. There is social awareness, World Vision is one of the beneficiary of his concert.
Ogie sang "Salamat" to the Sponsors, audience, producer, audience which he sang together with Maestro Ryan Cayabyab as he call him Mr. C.

What is Ramadan?

Eid'd Fitr

Ramadan

Ramadan, the greatest religious observance in Islam, is an annual month of fasting.
During the blessed month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the world  abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs during daylight hours . As a time to purify the soul, refocus attention on God, and practice self sacrifice, Ramadan is much more than just not eating and drinking.
I'm not an Islam but I also do fasting especially when times that I don't feel the presence of our Lord. And true enough during those absence of the senses in our universal faith it is called Lenten Season and we fast our five senses. The eyes, nose, ears, tongue, skin. And true enough if the body is weak the spirit is strong and you could feel that you are not a mere human being with physical body but you have the spirit and soul that speak with your God and other human being through your mind and spirit.
But even you fast if you don't do the gift of love you miss the essence of fasting.
Love is the universal language that anyone can understand and if their is love God is their because God is love. Different names but one meaning and that is give love on every human being because your God is a God of love so as children of love do the same.

Ramadan Kareem!
Ramadan Mubarak!
Kul 'am wa enta bi-khair
Eid Mubarak

HOW TO SAY I LOVE YOU?

Communication is a two way process their is sender and receiver, their is speaking and listening, reading  and writing.
Human being is said the highest form of animal because he can communicate in various forms and language. Relationship will restore if their is good communication. Be humble enough to listen and when its your time to speak, then speak. It's always give and take. Give your listening heart and you will receive listening heart also. Like the golden rule if you want to be heard listen first so when its your time to speak they will listen. If you want to be heard be sensitive enough that others want also to be heard. We can't  hear each other because we want to shout all what we need to say. We forget the most important which is listening because when you truly listen you will understand what the other party want to say and what he really meant to say.
I speak to foreign language sometimes I couldn't understand their language because of the accent and other differences that's the time I used my heart to listen to what he really meant to say. I look at his eyes, the gestures of his hands, the movement  of his body. Yes even though I couldn't understand his foreign language I understand the core of his heart  and that's the time I'm ready to speak and say you captured my heart. But then it's a continuous process you have to asked questions, don't assume till you hear it from the bottom of his heart.
Take note be humble enough to admit your mistakes but its not enough just to admit it , repent and be the best new you.

Heartist of Hope

Hapag ng Pag-ibig
Hapag ng Pag-asa
Joey Velasco as a painter and sculptor, is one of the great social artist our country has ever produced. He captured the heart of our nation when, in 2005, he showed to the public his famous painting-              "Hapag ng Pag-asa" which depicts the Last Supper with Jesus Christ and 12 street children instead of the disciples. He was a "heartist of hope", an artist who painted from his heart to give hope to the hopeless- particularly, the street children in our society.

At present, one of the prioritites of Joey Velasco Foundation (JVF) is to give support to the Hapag Kids and their families as well as other families of Hapag Village in Amparo, Caloocan City. JVF will create livelihood projects for them, give training to enhance their skills and other activities for the value formation of the community. Also, the Foundation is closely monitoring the education of the children and their performances in school. Hopefully, the foundation could also provide for their other school requirements.

Secondly, JVF is already in its initial processing stages of the Museum Development Plan               (i.e. Accession Catalog, Storage & Inventory), JVF wishes to have museum, "The Artesacra Center for Visual Arts Education" that will preserve and promote the life, work & advocacy of Joey Velasco, a Filipino visual artist who largely delves on religious art.

Any donation/pledge is deeply appreciated, and your support will help ensure that the                   Joey Velasco Foundation will continue to be able to provide our less fortunate brothers and sisters the care and support that they need to continue Joey's advocacy.

THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS

Most of us have been hurt a number of times in life by people who are careless, thoughtless or deliberately cruel. The hurt could be expressed in myriads form- a parent’s abuse, a friend’s disloyalty, a spouse’s infidelity, a relative’s acid tongue, or an acquaintance’s tactless words.
The hurt could last for a lifetime, especially if it cuts deep into our ego. The hurt remains an indelible stain on the fabric of our memory. But is it worth it to harbor a grudge in our heart for a pain we didn’t deserve? Psychologist point out that carrying a burden of hatred in our hearts does more harm than good. In fact, studies show that the root cause of physical ailments like high blood pressure, ulcer, migraine headaches, insomnia and other diseases is suppressed anger or unventilated ill-feelings.
Rage that is constrained or fueled for retaliation, or aiming to get even with the person who has hurt you can, cripple you emotionally. It can consume your energy and zap your high spirits in the midst of a sunny day. It’s like traversing the emotional spectrum from unfettered joy to the abyss of abject despair.
“The only way to heal the pain,” says Lewis Smeder in his book Forgive and Forget “is to forgive the person who has hurt you. Forgiving stop the virus of pain. It heals you. When you release the wrong doer from the wrong you cut a malignant tumor out of your life. You set a prisoner free. Only to discover later that the real prisoner is yourself.”
If the pain still hurts or assuaging it takes time, why not reflect on this food for thought:
Count your blessing instead of your crosses, Count your gains and not your losses, Count your joys instead of your woes, And count your friends not your foes, Count your best years instead of your lean, Count your good deeds and not your mean, Count your courage and not your fears, Count of your laughs instead of your wealth, Count on your health instead of your wealth Count on God and not on yourself.

How Shell Produce a Precious Gem Called Pearl?

Pearls are formed as a result of pain, after foreign or undesirable elements, like parasites or a grain of sand, find their way inside the oyster.
A lustrous substance called nacre is found inside the shell. When a grain of sand penetrates the shell, the nacre cells begin to work and cover the grain of sand with layers and more layers, to protect the helpless body of the oyster.
As a result, a beautiful pearl begins to form.
There is no way for an oyster that has never been wounded to produce pearls, because a pearl is a wound that has healed.
The same can happen with us.
Have you ever been hurt by someone’s harsh words?
Have you ever been accused of saying something that you never said?
Have your ideas been rejected or misunderstood?
Have you ever suffered because of prejudice?
Have you ever been treated with indifference?
So, produce a pearl!
Cover your sorrows with several layers of LOVE.
Unfortunately, very few are interested in showing this kind of effort. Most people just learn how to cultivate resentment and sorrow, leaving their wounds open and nourishing them with various types of emotions. And, therefore, not allowing them to heal.
What we often see are " Empty Oysters ", not because they have not been wounded, but because they were unable to forgive, understand and transform their pain into love.
In most cases a smile, a glance or a gesture is worth more than a thousand words!

MEN WHO MATTER

Mr. Cesar Purisima
-Secretary of Finance-
"When you succeed, always share the credit with the people you work with. Remember that in the professional life, you will live and die as a team. Look for ways to make your teammates better, because that will ultimately make you look better. In many activities, even cooperatively, there will be winners and losers, and some will be better at certain things than others. It is important to learn how to manage your team’s talents so that everyone comes out better."

Mr. Carlos Celdran
-Performance Artist-

Mr. Archie Rodriguez

Mr. Anton Sandiego

Mr. Richard Yap
-Actor-
"It’s all worth it when you fight for the right person, for the right love."

Mr. Keifer Ravena

"One of my best joys as a basketball player is being able to share my talent at a young age and seeing other youths grow up to be equally good players."
