People oh people!
I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready.~1 Corinthians 3:2
If you want to understand God's will & calling for your life you have to listen to the voice guided by the Holy Spirit.
It will not come like a voice from heaven; but God uses an instrument. It could be your friend, a bible, a flower but the most important thing you have to listen and discern. That's why its not just listening through your physical ears. Yes its important to use your five senses but aside from those five senses, God created a heart for you to see and feel what the eyes cannot see and ears cannot hear. And besides you have to use your additional senses like common sense.That's why you have head put on top of your body to think logically and your heart at the middle to balance what you think and feel.
All things is possible with God beyond your human knowledge asked God for the Spirit of Wisdom. And you will see the things that other cannot see not only because you are special but also for the reason that you open your self to the blessings that is already within you.
Be wise and think first not all words that you hear are literal, there are things that have hidden meanings.
Like the title above "there is life after death"its a beautiful words to reflect but if you take it literally, the beauty and meaning of the message will vanish.
An acquaintance told me a story about someone who wants to see heaven so he commit suicide to see heaven as young as he is. Real story or not, what a pitiful human being. Psychologically if you are on your right mind you won't obey your left mind :) Many people want to end their physical life due to suffering. But you cannot experience true happiness if you didn't experience loneliness. It's like how can you say there is bright sunny day if you didn't experience the dark, dim night .
Heaven is not a place but a state,that's why even we are physically alive we can experience heaven on earth. Like when you help someone without expecting in return you can experience an explainable joy and that state is heaven.
As of suffering it help us to be pure and holy and being part of Jesus Christ suffering for us to save from devil's trap. As a critical human being we neglect and complain for this so called suffering on earth because what we want is a painless life on earth that's why people invented anesthesia to have painless surgery. It's good but sometimes we escape pain, majority of men drink alcohol to forget their problems. We used drugs, and other things to escape pain. But that is part of life as long as your alive you can feel the pain and also happiness in life because they go together.
I want to share this lesson from dead nail on my feet. At first it is very painful the blood clot but weeks pass by and their is no pain anymore so I thought it was healed already but when I inspect it; I didn't feel the pain but totally my dead nail has no feeling for the simple reason that it is dead. So I removed that dead nail as I removed I saw new nail coming out.
Learned to let go of your sinfulness and old life and you will see there is life after death. :)
